About Nightpress

Nightpress is an autonomous book press. You describe the book you want to read — a sentence or a full outline — and the pipeline plans it with you, then writes, reviews, and packages a complete, publication-ready manuscript: chapters, front and back matter, covers, and store metadata, delivered as DOCX and EPUB.

The core idea behind Nightpress is that quality has to be a property of the system, not of luck on any given run. Every manuscript passes layered review — deterministic checks, full-book consistency audits, voice and continuity passes, and a reader-experience review — and publishing is held if unresolved critical issues remain. No book ships that the pipeline knows is broken.

The same discipline applies to the models that do the writing: they earn their place through measured bake-offs with published methodology and numbers. Read the research page to see exactly how the current writing model won its seat.

You don't need an API key to start: during the beta, every account includes a free writing allowance. Beyond that, you can bring your own API key — all AI usage is then billed directly to you at provider rates, no markup, no subscription — with a spend limit on every book so a run can pause and wait for you instead of surprising you. The stories you create are yours.
